Freightly Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026 · Official Regulatory & Commercial Standards
1. Information We Collect
We collect information necessary to operate a commercial transport marketplace, including business registration numbers, VAT identifiers, corporate email addresses, dispatch contact details, vehicle specifications, and driver qualification records. Geolocation and milestone data are processed exclusively during active journeys to provide consignee tracking and electronic Proof of Delivery.
2. How We Use Commercial Data
Information submitted by companies and transport providers is used to broadcast loads, facilitate offer bidding, generate legally binding booking agreements, calculate applicable platform commissions, issue B2B tax invoices, and maintain immutable audit histories. Competing carrier bids and proprietary customer rate cards are never disclosed to third parties.
3. PostgreSQL Row Level Security (RLS)
All marketplace data is protected at the database engine level via PostgreSQL Row Level Security. Transport providers have access only to their assigned journeys and submitted quotes. Tenant isolation is enforced programmatically.
4. Data Retention & Subject Rights
In accordance with UK GDPR and statutory tax obligations, transactional records, invoices, and digital PODs are retained for seven years. Users may request access, rectification, or export of their profile data by contacting privacy@freightly.co.uk.
